“This was our 2nd stay at Retreat at the Water's edge but our first at Shore Beats Work. We LOVED it! The house had everything we needed and was really comfortable. Loved the deck and that we could see the lake! Also loved the private fire pit and the landscaping around it but our favorite thing were the chairs at the end of the path that sat down near the lake. We enjoyed sitting in them and watching the sunset. We spent everyday on the lake in our kayaks and we can't wait to come back to our favorite little retreat!”

“Spectacular design, views, comfort, amenities. Simply an exceptional stay!! The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom/shower is large, we made use of the cards and games, the neighborhood is beautiful, and sitting in the chairs down by lake is so peaceful. Owner is a great communicator. Not far at all from Sewanee, so I’ll let others know about this property! Heck, I’d buy this property if you ever want to sell. Amazing getaway!!”

“I was looking for peace and relaxation to exhale and Shore Beats Work was that place! Great views of lake. Felt safe and secure in gated community. Great outdoor space to relax. Home was clean and comfortable and felt roomy with the high ceilings. Bathroom was larger than I expected with great walk in shower and nice towels. Kitchen was well equipped for my weekend stay. I enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and the comfy Adirondack chairs! Would love to go back and will!”

“The best place we've ever been. The owners thought of every detail for what would be needed. Only thing you need is your food and clothes. Local eating out is limited. Rental was EXACTLY as presented. Living room very cozy. Bed very comfortable. Several outdoor living spaces. Nice view. Loft seemed very cozy too but we didn't sleep up there. Probably a fun place for kids.”

My husband and I spent a few days over Thanksgiving at Retreat at Waters Edge. The Shore Beats Work tiny home was perfect for our visit. The home was fully furnished with everything we needed. We enjoyed both the decks, the fire pit and the seating near the lake. The area was perfect for day hikes. The location was perfect to go to the wonderful bakery in Tracy City and restaurants in Monteagle. Sewanee is close too.
